Password Rules Settings:

Admin will be responsible to set the password rules for the application as per the policy of the Financial Institution. Various parameters are provided in the application for the password as application controls as shown in the following input screen.

The minimum password length can be set with additional controls like number of numeric character and number of special characters to be present in the password, which will be enforced during the creation of a new password . The system will force the user to change the password on the expiry of the number of days depending on the set days under parameter “ Password Expires in (days) “ . While changing the password, the system will not accept the same password entered on earlier occasions. This can be enabled by entering the number of such occasions under the parameter “ No of previous password excluded”. “Lock” can be enabled by the admin to lock the user’s login activity after certain number of days from the expiry of the current password.

The “failed login ” option can be used to lock the user when he/she tries to enter wrong password multiple times. The number of times with wrong password can be set by entering the number against this option, after which the application will lock the user.
